I'm sure most of you guys are familiar with that word right? Yep, it means "Hi" in Korea. So, lately I've been addicted to watch korean dramas or more known as K-dramas. Before this, I never liked K-dramas and always query why many people watch them. But now I know, they're actually cuteπ! Also, the plotting is not like that kind of typical cheesy dramas. The one I'm currently watching is 'Encounter' and there's still a few more episodes left before the drama ends. *sighs*.
One of the iconic scenes hehe (Song Hye-kyo and Park Bo Gumππ) |
Ok well, that's not the main point I'm blogging. Besides binge-watching dramas, I also read some books. The one I'm about to share with you guys is one of my favourite books. Well, probably because it's not like those boring and dull novels with super duper tiny fonts hehe sorry dear bookwormsπ. So, last week when I was doing some sort of spring cleaning in my room, I found this book:
Actually, it was a birthday gift from my friend, Adlina. I got this during my 14th birthday.
Do I make it look Tumblr-ish enough? heheπ |
This book is not like no other books, it is a kind of book that you can read it all over again without even have to spare time. The book itself circulates issues regarding self-esteem, confidence, courage, being kind and most importantly how to live our life to the fullestπ. I will definitely go back to it when I feel like I lose or doubt my decision, as if the book (and the author indirectly) gives you a boost of support in the form of words. And as the author's note, I enjoy myself reading it slowly while also admiring the lively and colourful illustration. Another thing is that, most of them has PINK in it!! Yeayzies!
However, I'm not quite sure wether it is a part of motivational or self-help book since the author put "thoughts" on the title (?) As for the diction, it is readable, light and daily-related, so it seems like giving you a daily motivational power for straightly 88 days (if you want to read one page per dayπ), but to a greater extend, some quotes let the reader thinks how important to swift your perspective on something greater, and practically it takes time. For example, the one which taught us to not always listen to the audience, but to believe in ourselves. (I loveeee this kind of quote!π)
All in all, 88 Love Life is a light reading material that I enjoy which I can literally go through its pages over a cup of coffee. Nah, I prefer Pepsiππ. While I'm going through pages, it is as if the book is trying to communicate with me, with all those positive words I could remember easily and apply them in my daily life. Love it so much! Special thanks to Adlinaππ
Yep,,that's me, I prefer Pepsi over coffeeπ |
Wait, did I forget to tell about the author? Yea right. Hehe so this book is written by Diana Rikasari and is illustrated by Dinda Puspitasari. Both of them are Indonesians. Diana Rikasari is one of the pioneers of fashion and lifestyle blogging in Indonesia. Since 2007, Diana has been sharing her quirky style and personality, making "quirky" her trademark and led her to become an influential person in the fashion industry. Also, Diana shares a very serious view on love and life; to seriously appreciate life and the people you love, and believe that good things happen if you believe.
As for Dinda Puspitasari, she is an illustrator and lifestyle blogger who shares high interest in art and fashion. Click here to go and take a glimpse of her awesome stories and inspirations! She loves everything that relates with art and has been drawing since she was little. For her, drawing is a source of happiness and an expression of her colourful imaginations.
Here's a picture of them both, how cuteeeeππ (From left, Diana Puspitasari, Diana Rikasari) |
Just for you guys to know, it is a hardcover book which has the size of an A5. Actually mine is the 2nd volume of #88 LOVE LIFE. From what Diana said, the 1st volume book in general portrayed Diana's dreams and passion and how people made her happy from a rather younger mindset of hers. In the 2nd volume, she developed a more realistic point of view towards things where she learn to accept the changes happening in life. And during 9th March, they launched the 3rd volume of #88 LOVE LIFE. Wish I could have it!π
1st, 2nd & 3rd volume. Mine's in the middle! |
Another thing about this book is that, you can only purchase it onlineπ»π±. They don't sell it at any bookstores. You can get it from Fashion Valet, Shopee, MPH Online and many more! If you are someone who likes colourful illustrations and happy thoughts,I really recommend you guys to get the #88 Love Life Trilogy. But early reminder from me, I can't guarantee the price is that cheap because it needs shipping and all that. But hey, i'm sure it's worth the prize!ππ€πΈπ°
They also have free stickers at the last page. Yeay! |
One of my favs!ππππ |
Just look how cute the illustration isππππ |
Adlina's birthday note for me. And it is still in my book ;D |
I think that's all for now. Gosh it's already 2 a.m. and I need to sleepπͺπ΄π€
Toodles!
