Special Book Review

Annyeong! ๐Ÿ’“

I'm sure most of you guys are familiar with that word right? Yep, it means "Hi" in Korea. So, lately I've been addicted to watch korean dramas or more known as K-dramas. Before this, I never liked K-dramas and always query why many people watch them. But now I know, they're actually cute๐Ÿ˜! Also, the plotting is not like that kind of typical cheesy dramas. The one I'm currently watching is 'Encounter' and there's still a few more episodes left before the drama ends. *sighs*.

One of the iconic scenes hehe
(Song Hye-kyo and Park Bo Gum๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ’—)

Ok well, that's not the main point I'm blogging. Besides binge-watching dramas, I also read some  books. The one I'm about to share with you guys is one of my favourite books. Well, probably because it's not like those boring and dull novels with super duper tiny fonts hehe sorry dear bookworms๐Ÿ˜. So, last week when I was doing some sort of spring cleaning in my room, I found this book:

Actually, it was a birthday gift from my friend, Adlina. I got this during my 14th birthday.

Do I make it look Tumblr-ish enough? hehe๐Ÿ˜œ
This book is not like no other books, it is a kind of book that you can read it all over again without even have to spare time. The book itself circulates issues regarding self-esteem, confidence, courage, being kind and most importantly how to live our life to the fullest๐Ÿ’•. I will definitely go back to it when I feel like I lose or doubt my decision, as if the book (and the author indirectly) gives you a boost of support in the form of words. And as the author's note, I enjoy myself reading it slowly while also admiring the lively and colourful illustration. Another thing is that, most of them has PINK in it!! Yeayzies!

However, I'm not quite sure wether it is a part of motivational or self-help book since the author put "thoughts" on the title (?) As for the diction, it is readable, light and daily-related, so it seems like giving you a daily motivational power for straightly 88 days (if you want to read one page per day๐Ÿ˜), but to a greater extend, some quotes let the reader thinks how important to swift your perspective on something greater, and practically it takes time. For example, the one which taught us to not always listen to the audience, but to believe in ourselves. (I loveeee this kind of quote!๐Ÿ’—)

All in all, 88 Love Life is a light reading material that I enjoy which I can literally go through its pages over a cup of coffee. Nah, I prefer Pepsi๐Ÿ˜‹๐Ÿ™†. While I'm going through pages, it is as if the book is trying to communicate with me, with all those positive words I could remember easily and apply them in my daily life. Love it so much! Special thanks to Adlina๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ’™

Yep,,that's me, I prefer Pepsi over coffee๐Ÿ˜
Wait, did I forget to tell about the author? Yea right. Hehe so this book is written by Diana Rikasari and is illustrated by Dinda Puspitasari. Both of them are Indonesians. Diana Rikasari is one of the pioneers of fashion and lifestyle blogging in Indonesia. Since 2007, Diana has been sharing her quirky style and personality, making "quirky" her trademark and led her to become an influential person in the fashion industry. Also, Diana shares a very serious view on love and life; to seriously appreciate life and the people you love, and believe that good things happen if you believe.

As for Dinda Puspitasari, she is an illustrator and lifestyle blogger who shares high interest in art and fashion. Click here to go and take a glimpse of her awesome stories and inspirations! She loves everything that relates with art and has been drawing since she was little. For her, drawing is a source of happiness and an expression of her colourful imaginations.

Here's a picture of them both, how cuteeee๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ’—
(From left, Diana Puspitasari, Diana Rikasari)
Just for you guys to know, it is a hardcover book which has the size of an A5. Actually mine is the 2nd volume of #88 LOVE LIFE. From what Diana said, the 1st volume book in general portrayed Diana's dreams and passion and how people made her happy from a rather younger mindset of hers. In the 2nd volume, she developed a more realistic point of view towards things where she learn to accept the changes happening in life. And during 9th March, they launched the 3rd volume of #88 LOVE LIFE. Wish I could have it!๐Ÿ˜ญ

1st, 2nd & 3rd volume. Mine's in the middle!
Another thing about this book is that, you can only purchase it online๐Ÿ’ป๐Ÿ“ฑ. They don't sell it at any bookstores. You can get it from Fashion Valet, Shopee, MPH Online and many more! If you are someone who likes colourful illustrations and happy thoughts,I really recommend you guys to get the #88 Love Life Trilogy. But early reminder from me, I can't guarantee the price is that cheap because it needs shipping and all that. But hey, i'm sure it's worth the prize!๐Ÿ˜„๐Ÿค‘๐Ÿ’ธ๐Ÿ’ฐ

They also have free stickers at the last page. Yeay!

One of my favs!๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿ’œ

Just look how cute the illustration is๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ’–

Adlina's birthday note for me. And it is still in my book ;D

I think that's all for now. Gosh it's already 2 a.m. and I need to sleep๐Ÿ˜ช๐Ÿ˜ด๐Ÿ’ค
Toodles!

MY FIRST TIME WATCHING A HORROR MOVIE AT THE CINEMA

Hey peeps! Miss me? ๐Ÿ˜œ

So, for this post I will be sharing with you guys about a movie that I watched recently.

Last Tuesday, me and two of my friends, Khadijah๐ŸŒท and Aisyah๐ŸŒน(remember I told you guys about her on my previous post? ),we decided to hang out at NU Sentral. I wasn't really familiar on going there, but my grandma always tells me to try and explore new things. So, why not?

This is the planned itinerary:

  • Movies at the cinema ๐ŸŽฌ
  • Go to Laser Ops

A place where you have to shoot others to win๐Ÿ’ฅ๐Ÿ”ฆ (nah, don't worry, it won't hurt.)

You'll get locked in a room, and if you're smart enough, try to escape.

  • Do some manicure and pedicure ayee!! ๐Ÿ’…๐Ÿ’†๐Ÿ’‹
  • Food hunting๐Ÿ˜‹๐Ÿœ๐Ÿ›๐Ÿจ (haha should this be considered as the itinerary too?๐Ÿ˜ถ
Well apparently, out of all of the 5 plans, we only did 1 which is,
watching a movie!
I think we just spent too much time chitchatting and gossiping while enjoying our ice creams๐Ÿฆ and McDonalds meals๐ŸŸ๐Ÿ” until we don't even have enough time to do other activities. Oops, did I just say gossiping?๐Ÿ˜œ

When we were about to buy the movie tickets, Khadijah and I wanted to watch 'Ralph Breaks The Internet' so bad!! I'm so eager to watch it ever since the trailer came out. But then there's Aisyah, kept on insisting us to watch 'The Possession of Hannah Grace'. And clearly from the title we know it's a HORROR MOVIE. I;m not a fan of horror movies and I've never watched any horror movies in cinemas.

Here's the image displayed on the screen above the ticket-purchasing counter. CREEPY ISN'T??? Oh gosh.

You could tell from our faces that me and Khadjah really didn't want to watch it,but Aisyah's puppy eyes never fails to melt people's heart. So that is how we ended up watching it ๐Ÿ˜‘

I chose to sit in the middle so that I will feel safer and secured with someone beside me. Well, most of the time during the movie, I only peeked through the popcorn box hole because I was super duper scared to watch. I screamed for quite a lot of times and I think I annoyed the person who sat in front of me (hehe sorry not sorry man!)๐Ÿ˜œ

MOVIE REVIEW:

THE POSSESSION OF HANNAH GRACE OFFICIAL TRAILER:

You can tell how scary it is even from the trailer๐Ÿ˜จ

Film Synopsis:
A shocking exorcism spirals out of control, claiming the life of a young woman. Months later, morgue worker, Megan Reed takes delivery of a disfigured cadaver during the graveyard shift. Locked inside the basement corridors, Megan's horrifying visions soon lead her to believe that the body is possessed by a demonic force.

Initial release: November 29, 2018 (Greece)
Budget: $6–9.5 million

Well basically, it is about a girl named Hannah who was possessed by a strong demon๐Ÿ˜ˆ. Her dad had tried so many ways to free her daughter from the demon. Unfortunately, none of all of his efforts worked until he made his decision to kill her own daughter.(This part seriously made us cry๐Ÿ˜ข)

Believe it or not, even when she died, the demonic force is still inside her. Hannah was sent to a hospital to be kept in the morgue. Megan Reed, who used to be a policewoman quit from her job due to an unforgettable traumatic incident that happened๐Ÿ‘ฎ. A friend of her, Lisa then helped her to get a work and offered her to work at the morgue during night shift๐Ÿ”ฌ๐Ÿฅ. Ever since Hannah's corpse was delivered, Megan started to feel something fishy and unusual. She then started to get distracted by weird and scary events.

No longer after that, she finds out that Hannah is still alive and started to attack other people. Day by day, she realised that many of her workmates started to be missing. A further and clearer explanation was given when Hannah's father came to the hospital. Actually, Hannah had died years ago but she was never kept buried before because of that powerful demonic force inside her.

At the end, they managed to destroy Hannah by burning her. A lot of scary. events happened throughout the few days when Hannah's was delievered to the hospital. LIKE SUPER DUPER SCARY.

This part when she threw Hannah's corpse into the burning place is seriously cool!!!

My Personal Review:

Based on my opinion, I think the story plotting was good, I like how the story goes tense and how I get scared so easily. I remember being scared at the edge of my seat and screaming like crazy. Pity to the person sitting next to me, hehe sorry Aisyah and Khadijah ๐Ÿ˜…. FYI, both Rotten Tomato and IMDB are rated high. Except for one thing that spoils is that when the characters die, there is not much an explanation on where they went and nobody really tries to search and care about them ๐Ÿ˜•. Also, Hannah's corpse makes such a crispy sound when she moves, like why she gotta be so crunchy all the time man? ew.

But overall, I ENJOYED the movie and would recommend you guys to watch it. If you're a real scaredy cat like me give the movie a shot, it's way better than other horror movies nowadays. I give this movie :
⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4 stars should be enough)

Ohh and I would love to give a big shout out to the amazingly beautiful and talented @shaymitchell!! She deserves thunderous applause!! *clapclap* ๐Ÿ‘

Beautiful Shay Mitchell as Megan Reed,a troubled ex-cop who takes the graveyard shift in a morgue

Here's an interview with Shay Mitchell;

So what are you guys waiting for?? Go and watch it!๐Ÿ’“

MALAYSIAN PHILHARMONIC ORCHESTRA

Hi everyone! How's the holiday been doing so far? I hope you guys are being productive everyday ๐Ÿ˜‰

So, on the 24th November, me and my friends went to watch the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra (MPO) at KLCC. It was my first time ever attending an orchestra show. Orchestra has never been exciting for me.My friend, Nik was the one who suggested to watch orchestra. I had no idea why on earth did she suggest to watch orchestra. If I were her, I would plan on watching movies, ice skate or maybe shopping! Haha, nevermind, at least everybody agreed. At first I hesitated on joining them but the only reason why is that my old friend, Aisyah Basirah who transferred to MRSM Tumpat was planning to join, and we've been looking forward to meet each other since last year!

Me and Aisyah used to be very close until people even call us 'twinnies' haha
And the best thing is, we got FREE VIP SEAT TICKETS that actually costs RM189 each!๐Ÿ˜ฑ One of my friends' dad works at Petronas, so he managed to get 6 VIP tickets for us.(The perks of being a part of Petronas).

The show starts at 8.30 p.m. but we came at 8.00 p.m.. Since we were considered as VIP's, we were given a room for just the six of us.It really felt as if I'm a celebrity ๐Ÿ˜œ We had our own lockers and we were served with high class drinks. We also have direct link passage to the Dewan Filharmonik Petronas where the show was held.

Dewan Filharmonik Petronas

8.30 p.m. :
We excitedly get into the hall and were flabbergasted to see the enormous hall. They had the most beautiful chandelier I've ever seen in my life. At that time, the musicians and singers were already getting ready at the stage, looking so professional.

At first, I admit it was very boring. Even Aisyah and I almost fell asleep! They started off by playing slow classical songs. And suddenly,, BOOM! They sound went so loud and played upbeat music that made the whole crowd shocked. Then, that is when me and Aisyah started to enjoy the show.

During the show, there were rest times for the musicians for about 20 minutes after every 30 minutes on stage. So, my friends and I took the chance to take some precious photos of them since we were strictly told to switch off our phones during the show.

I was really astounded by the conductor. He's the famous Maestro Roberto Abbado. His moves are very swift and vibrant. Imagine moving non-stop for 2 hours, whoa he must be really tired after the show. There were 3 inspiring soloists each represented for soprano, tenor and baritone. Not to forget the choral team (USCI chorale), they had the best voice ever!

Here are some pictures of me and my friends:

With the tenor and baritone soloists๐ŸŽค

That's all for now. Will be continuing blogging later. Gotta go and pick up my sister from MRSM Alor Gajah and cheers for her because she just finished her SPM and secondary student life! \(^0^)/

IGCSE-POST FEELINGS

Heyyo Amigos Peeps!❤️๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿ’š
It's been a long time since the last time i updated my blog. It feels so different now. Haha ok so today the topic is going to be:

WHAT DO YOU FEEL NOW THAT IGCSE IS OVER?

I believe most of you must know what is IGCSE right? It is the abbreviation of International General Certificate of Secondary Education. FYI, it is the world's most famous international certification for end of secondary school before one proceeds to Advanced level.
-----------> Want to know more about IGCSE? Click here!

Ok so basically, I spent my whole entire 4 years at MRSM Tun Abdul Razak aiming for this BIG exam. Guess how much mama and papa spent for this exam? it's
RM2032!!
Whoa that's a whole lot of money right? I really can buy a new phone or maybe a new watch to add to my collection. Not just that, I can also buy revision books and workshops fee. I better ace the exam by getting 6A*. My parents are always willing to bend over backwards just to make sure i get enough education. Just imagine the feeling of looking to your results and getting A* for every subjects. Phew mama and papa must be really proud of me.๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ’˜

My exam spans for around 1-month. Yup, longer than the SPM examination. That one month was definitely one of my hardest times of the year. I'm so glad that there were lot of gaps for answering papers since we might only have 2 papers per week except that one day when it was Additional Mathematics in the morning and Physics in the afternoon :/ In total, we have 15 papers overall.

Our last paper was Chemistry Paper 2 which ended up at 9.45 a.m.. After our papers were collected, keeping back all the desks and chairs and cleaning up the examination hall, I could see everyone was on cloud nine! Everyone was happy and can't wait to get back home on the same day. My friends and I managed to take some pictures together before going back.
